First, I stopped by my local Kohl's where they have a beautiful, new section filled with beauty products from Cargo, Lorac, The Balm, American Beauty, Jane Cosmetics, and Pur Minerals. I totally heard angels singing in my ear as I admired several aisles of wonderful, lovely, makeup products! Then the devil insisted that I purchase something, LOL!
I ended up purchasing a Cargo blush/contour palette called "Malibu". This is one of those fool proof doo hickies I like. It has a highlighter, blush, and bronzer all in one palette. Each are labeled HIGHLIGHT, CHEEK, and CONTOUR. Hello? Can you say SOLD! The highlight is an illuminating very light pink color. The blush is a pure pink matte color. The bronzer/contour color is a matte, tan brownish color. LOVE. IT.
And on my quest to test and find an amazing liquid foundation, I caved when I spotted the Pur Minerals 4-in1 Liquid Foundation with SPF 15. So of course I had to have the powder version called Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Sunscreen SPF 35 Pressed Mineral Powder. The corresponding brushes to these foundations were purchased as well. (I have a thing for trying brushes out too - YIKES!) Since there was a little "sampler" of 3 Pur Minerals Primers, I decided that would go great with the rest of my Pur Minerals stuff. I've never tried Pur Minerals, so this will definitely be a "First Impressions" blog post soon!
Then, The Balm's section started to look me in the eyes. Several YouTube vloggers have mentioned how pigmented the blushes are. I tested some out and I agree! YOWZERS! The INSTAIN blushes come in gorgeous colors. I chose "Pinstripe" which is this wine color that will be great for fall.
The Balm's "Read My Lips" Lip Glosses made their way into my view with great names such as "Va Va Voom" and "Pow". I personally fell in love with "Grrrrr" which is a rosy/wine color. I guess I'm ready for autumn, huh?
Well, since Target is not too far from Kohl's, I ended up going into my local Target as well. You can guess what happened once I got there.
NYX was calling my name and I picked up one of their blushes in "Rose Garden". Do you see a theme here? I totally didn't plan that, I swear, LOL! I also bought one of NYX eye shadow palettes which is called, "Sex Bomb". The colors looked so rich, I just couldn't help myself.
From the NYX section, I found myself checking out lotions, facial cleansers, and masks. I bought one of St. Ives spray on lotions, as well as, St. Ives Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub + Mask. I just wanted to see what these products were all about, as they are fairly new. While we are on the subject of masks, I saw a product called Que Bella Rejuvenating Dead Sea Mineral Masque. Hmm...it looked interesting, so I put one of those in my cart too. After picking up some EOS Shave Cream, I went back to the makeup section for one last gander. That's when I spotted the most beautiful nail polish. It's Sally Hansen's Triple Shine in the color "Dream Sequins" which is this gorgeous rose gold glittery polish that is to DIE FOR! And you know I'm not big on polish, but this is sooooo pretty. I can't wait to try it out!
Hope you enjoyed my haul! Happy Shopping :-)
